Advanced Feats: Secrets of the Alchemist
by Sigfried Trent is the latest Player Buff-O-Rama product from the fine folks at Open Design. While I have never played an alchemist in a game, I did run through the character creation process to get a better idea of what it would be like. In a word it was Intriguing. I especially liked the Carpet Bomber build. This would certainly be the PC you'd want to go first and soften up the Big Bad and his Boys for you.

30 Alchemist Feats, with some that other classes could use as well.
3 example builds- Carpet Bomber, Mighty Mutant, and Mad Scientist
Each feat and build was well thought out and thoroughly explained. I would consult my Game Master before using some of them first though. If you're playing a high level Alchemist in Pathfinder you definitely need this product.

ReplyDeleteHm have to check this one out, I've always had Alchemy as a class in my campaigns, usually as a "sub-class". Myself along with my original gaming group wrote a 45pg supplement for them for 1st ed AD&D & I have faithfully updated it for each incarnation (& many other rules sets as well). I have always felt that not having an alchemist was a glaring gap in the make-up of most Fantasy RPG systems and campaigns. Every system and game we have ever played have contained no lack of wondrous substances, such as potions, oils, and magical devices. Admittedly, wizards and the like have created some of these products, but this surely doesn't explain how so many potions and the like come to litter the average dungeon or ruin. Who then I ask is responsible for the vast profusion of mixtures and devices which exist in nearly every campaign? Why, the alchemist of course! My favorite Alchemist is the specialist, Brewer, for he can surely craft the most wondrous of concoctions. ah I ramble, you've touch a soft/sore spot.
