Kobold Quarterly: a review

Yeah, I'm old. When I read a magazine I like to have something to hold on to. Something that I can read in the John or while I'm eating lunch at work.
PDF's are cool. They are slick, printable and environmentally friendly. But, I have a hard time thinking of them as a form of Periodical.
Recently, my Friendly Local Gaming Store (FLGS for short) started stocking "Kobold Quarterly", published by Paizo. For those of you not familiar, and who play D&D (3.5 and 4th) or Pathfinder, it is a must see.
I do read "Dungeon" and it's sister "Dragon" published by Wizards. But, it's just not the same.
The best part is you can buy the slick color mag for the bookshelf and/or a pdf copy for the laptop.

The First Post

Wow, it's so big in here [turning about aimlessly].

I've been meaning to do this for a while.... well at least a year anyway. That's how long it's been since I started RPG'ing again.
I stopped about 20yrs ago for whatever reasons, and that's OK.
I started to play again because my local NFL team was horrible and I needed something to do on Sundays. So I dug out my Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Players Handbook and the rest is history.... Well sort of.... Alot has changed in the last 20yrs, and alot has stayed the same....
I hope that my future posts can enlighten folks a tiny bit on the hobby, cool stuff I use, and the culture.
